OMG this beautiful
I was born on a deep blue cloud in the heart of winter, the Solstice, with nothing but a guitar and a woven hat. Twenty years rolled by as fast as the surrounding clouds around me cleared.
I used to frolic naked in the heavens, meeting countless wandering cloud-souls along the journey.
One day, when I had to jump furiously from moisture to moisture, a cloud cleared just enough for me to notice a man, bearded and young, turn his attention to my mysterious presence. Where had I come from? I pondered. Without a second thought, my body thrusted onto his cloud and we intertwined.
That’s when I fell in love. Real love.
Together we nestled on his cloud for what felt like an eternity, happily never-ending.
I began to let sadness overwhelm me, for I missed my cloud. But I couldn’t just leave him!
I grabbed his warm hands, kissed them in mine and pleaded with half a smile.
We traveled in unison. One cloud to another, always together.
Love in the clouds.
He sits, legs so close to mine
Flames consume my sight
Fidgety fingers slip without thought
Recoil, burning cheeks
Slight smile …
We sit, touching
Inching closer and closer
World, on fire
Warmth, heat, explosions
Tense, and beautiful
